Asianovela Channel was a Philippine pay television channel created by ABS-CBN and one of the freemium channels of ABS-CBN TVplus. The channel primarily aired Filipino-dubbed Korean dramas along with imported programming from ABS-CBN's main channel, and also aired Asian films previously shown on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Blockbusters movie block and its sister channels Cinema One and Cine Mo!. Asianovela Channel operated from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Weekdays and 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM on Weekends. It was available for a free-trial basis from July 30, 2018 to May 5, 2020, alongside O Shopping (standalone DTV), Movie Central, Jeepney TV, and Myx.[1] On June 1, 2020, the channel temporarily took over the channel space of S+A (ABS-CBN Sports and Action).
Asianovela Channel permanently ceased broadcasting on July 1, 2020 due to the alias cease-and-desist order (ACDO) issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida against ABS-CBN TV Plus.[2]
From July 7, 2020 until April 14, 2023, rest of asian dramas were moved to Kapamilya Channel via Kapamilya Mornings (later relaced by reruns of Be Careful With my Heart for its 10th Anniversary) and Kapamilya Late Nights (later moved to Primetime Bida/A2Z Primetime and Todo Max Primetime Singko Weeknight block due to extended airing of Movie Central Presents).
