Viva Films, the local Filipino movies buffs now have another source of action-packed blockbuster movies: every Sunday is Sunday Sinemaks, a TV movie block for fast-paced and adrenaline filled Pinoy action blockbusters, Sunday at 10 p.m. on IBC-13. Free movie passes to your favorite Pinoy action flicks.
The weekly film showing is a movie project of Viva chairman and CEO Vic del Rosario, Jr., whose support for weekly hit action movie featuring the heavyweights of the genre is widely known and appreciated. Rosario believes that cinema is one of the local Pinoy cinema treats as well as its concerts from Viva Concerts and Events. A co-production venture of The Kapinoy Network with Viva Communications, Inc.
Viva created its own cable movie channel, PBO (Pinoy Box Office) and entrusted the entire Viva library to ABS-CBN via Cinema One, co-productions of Viva and Star Cinema are also aired exclusively via ABS-CBN's movie block Kapamilya Blockbusters and Studio 23's movie blocks are Lunch Box Office and Barkada Nights and via Pinoy Box Office (PBO) at the same time. While the co-productions of Viva and GMA Films exclusively airs via GMA's movie block Kapuso Movie Festival, GMA News TV's movie block Takilya Blockbuster, and via Pinoy Box Office (PBO). Meanwhile, co-production in block-timer Viva for IBC exclusively via movie blocks are Kapinoy Cinema and Sunday Sinemaks on IBC .
With Sinemaks being screened every Sunday nights, for those power in action Pinoy blockbusters. Thanks, too, to IBC chairman Eric Canoy, who has been instructed by Rosario to source more Tagalog action film in the vaults of Viva Films will doing the primetime local blockbuster movies. "There was a time when viewers than giant networks Channel 2 and 7. Now, they are flicking the remote at 13 and our objective is to make them. We plan to being a strong third to being second eventually," added the IBC-13 chairman.
Rosario's participation is key to the competition, because his companies are providing P5 million to help finance the production of the full-length Tagalog movies that are being entered in Viva Films.

Channel 13 has lined up the likes of professional basketball's PBA and NBA, two of top-rating phenomenal game shows The Weakest Link and Who Wants to be a Millionaire, a reality singing search Born to be a Star, new primetime soap operas Amor Bravio, All About My Romance and Shut Up Flower Boy Band, My Family Xyriel and Esperanza are the primetime dramas, DMZ-TV, a teen drama anthology Dear Heart and the comedy gag show T.O.D.A.S..
