For the Congress, IBC-13's new owner and chairman Eric Canoy of the network presented the new business strategy of the No.3 network in a partnership with Viva Communications, Inc. It was obsered that the said strategy resembels that of the two competing media giants ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
The Kapinoy Network has now the advantages in financial resources and is still up for privatization of PCGG, appointed by the president Benigno Noynoy Aquino III in the current PNoy administration. The third placer network has now the capability of producing more shows and improve its content.
In the Ad Congress, Mr. Pangilinan laid out the following plans and goals for IBC:
- Use high-def production equipment, tapeless digital system, and improve their transmission through more powerful transmitters nationwide.
- Beef up their news department bigger than it is now, and coming up with a new Kapinoy shows with a co-production of Viva Television.
- Develop their own talents from the established networks.
- Put up their own primetime schedule on IBC from more genres from movies, dramas, animes, comedy, top-rating game shows, reality talent shows and sports programs.
Intercontinental Broadcastung Corporation is now a media company in the country and in the Asia, is also owns the flagship TV station IBC, news channel IBC News Network (INN), cable channels Danze TV, radio networks are DZTV Radyo Budyong and iDMZ 891, and the international channel Global IBC.
The Kapinoy team with its IBC Board of Directors and new management is now headed by President and CEO Boots Anson-Roa and Vice-Chairman Freddie M. Garcia. Will this new leadership beat ABS-CBN and GMA from the top slot they both claim continue to the third spot where Kapinoy fans.
