IBC-13's newest presentation, Born to be a Star is the Filipino edition of the newest sensation to come out of American television from Endemol.
Talks within IBC and Viva management to acquire the franchise began in 2012. Keen to join the network war of ABS-CBN and GMA-7, sequestered TV station IBC-13 is banking on Born to be a Star to raise its share of Filipino viewers with Viva. Born to be a Star plays a big role in the network’s Kapinoy programming.
