That's what new sequestered TV station IBC-13 chairman Eric Canoy said one years ago for its privatization. His expansion to his staffers was resoundingly validated branding for the Kapinoy network recently, when IBC won as best TV station in the 2012 PMPC Star Awards.

IBC-13's victory over bigger No.3 TV networks has heartened the major players to similarly aim for quality in their own Asian markets as well as mass-based level with Kapinoy programming, they're more after the C-D-E market. Also have a network monicker, like ABS-CBN's Kapamilya and GMA's Kapuso.

True innovatives

To celebrate, IBC has unveiled and revealed a reinvigorated program slate of new children's programming, entertainment and news and public affairs programs, for viewers looking for formula program formats, just like the country's two giant networks ABS-CBN and GMA, Canoy said they are now a strong number 3.

The new lineup of shows includes the newest children's programs KapinoyLand, hosted by Mr. Kapinoy is the leader of IBC mascots; a showbiz-oriented talk show Showbiz Star, hosted by Dolly Anne Carvajal; a late-night talk show Noel @ Late Nite with host Noel Trinidad introduces the musical performances as he proceeds to his desk and his guest interview.

Sesame Street, Art Attack and Cabbage Patch Kids are the new roster of American children's programming; Snooky Serna-Go's public service program Snooky.

Alongside new Kapinoy shows, the network's fresh infusion of new shows includes the favorite animated series Winx Club, and Pop Pixie and the first-ever Mexican telenovelas María Isabel and Mar de Amor plus new Korean drama screening I Need Romance. New local shows like the very first primetime teleserye for the whole family 5 Girls and Daddy starring Jeffrey Hidalgo, join the ranks of dramas like Esperanza starring Cristine Reyes; and the teen drama anthology Dear Heart starring Nadine Lustre.

Of course, IBC-13's high-rating shows including phenomenal game shows like The Weakest Link with host Richard Yap and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? with Drew Arellano. Also, the return of primetime comedy via Happy TODAS, a revival of the 80's gag show T.O.D.A.S., is topbilled by Joey de Leon, Cristine Reyes, Keempee de Leon, Hans Mortel, Victor Anastacio, Sam YG and Carlos Agassi.

The sports programs for AKTV on IBC will also telecast the NBA and PBA games, United Football League (UFL), NCAA, PXC and also the boxing fans of The Main Event. and Bigtime Bakbakan, as well as Whacked Out Sports, WWE Bottom Line and WWE SmackDown!.
