The much-anticipated relaunch of IBC-13 unveil the sequestered network to achieve its target to be the third leading broadcasting network in the country this 2014. As part of its preparation for the bid day, the Kapinoy network relive the glory days during the 70s and 80s. As preparation for its feel-good war for supremacy in broadcast television against ABS-CBN and GMA-7, IBC-13 has set aside P13 billion.

IBC-13’s new programming schedule will include the first ever fantaserye for mermaid (featuring Janella Salvador), a newly-reformatted noontime variety show (from Monday to Saturday with APO Hiking Society), a showbiz talk show (with Dolly Anne Carvajal), the much-awaited fantasy anthology Tasya Fantasya, the revival of drama anthology Love Notes (with Joe D’Mango), and the new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (hosted by Drew Arellano) and Born to be a Superstar (hosted by Anja Aguilar).

Meanwhile, IBC-13 is still in the effort of privatization for the government and the look-out for more converts from the Kapamilya and Kapuso network. A tabloid reported today that many top caliber celebrities and new superstars offers from the network owned by the new chairman Jose Avellana.

As the reach and our strength of the two leading broadcasting networks, by rolling out in all areas where the two networks are present, Avellana said. He explained he wanted to support the efforts of Avellana to build up the sequestered network as a viable contender against ABS-CBN and GMA.

Avellana earlier said IBC-13 has significantly increased its viewership ratings and established its position as a strong No. 3 in the Philippine television industry.
