Local film buffs now have another source of good movies, IBC-13 has relaunched its Saturday late primetime movie block IBCinema, a TV showcase for today's hottest Pinoy films, telecast every Saturday at 10:45 p.m., beginning February 13.

Lito Ocampo Cruz

The weekly film showing is a project of IBC president and CEO Lito Ocampo Cruz, whose support for artistic endeavors is widely known and appreciated.

Cruz believed that IBCinema is one of the great Pinoy blockbusters. As such, it has the network showing full-length Tagalog films.

With IBCinema which being screened every Saturday, the search for those Tagalog films made easier. Thanks, too, to IBC Entertainment head Wilma Galvante, who has been instructed by Roa to offer some of today's local movies. Galvante's search has carrying the local movie outfits: Regal Entertainment, Viva Films, M-Zet Productions, OctoArts Films, Reality Entertainment and recently IBC Films.

Cruz's participation is key to the competition, because her companies are providing P3 million to help finance the production of the full-length Tagalog movies that are being entered the local films.

Meanwhile, do catch IBCinema every Saturday at 10:45 p.m. on IBC-13. Make it a part of your local movie program in film, and also encourage your friends to watch it, so the level of film literacy in this country can rise.
