IBC News Tonight is a late-night 30-minute news program aired on IBC from February 11, 2002 to August 5, 2011, it was replaced by News Team 13.
About the show
IBC News Tonight was premiered on February 11, 2002, replacing Ronda Trese. It was first anchored by Anthony Pangilinan. In November,4, 2002, he was later replaced by Noli Eala who is also appointed as the commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association before the newscast at night. However, Eala eventually left the newscast and was replaced by replaced by Dennis Principe in December 15, 2003 but left the newscast in New Year 2006 to be acquired by NBN (now PTV), also a government-controlled network. Principe would later be replaced by Gina Dela Vega-Cruz.In August 4, 2007, Dela Vega-Cruz left the newscast was replaced by Joee Guilas, a former ABS-CBN and RPN business corespondent in August 6, 2007. Guilas had left the show in August 1, 2008 to be replaced by the female tandem of Rida Reyes and Thea Gavino in August 4, 2008. Reyes soon left the newscast in September 12, 2008 to be acquired by GMA Network, leaving Gavino as the sole main anchor. Gavino was replaced by Atty. Zorah Andam in November 2, 2009
Cathy Eigenmann with former Express Balita anchorJake Morales replaced Andam in June 20, 2011. However, Jake Morales left the newscast several days later, leaving Eigenmann as its final anchor.
The newscast ceased airing on August 5, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. to make way for News Team 13.
